National Historic Preservation Act, Section 106 Public Comment Opportunities

NOAA’s Office of National Marine Sanctuaries, is required, as a federal agency, to consider under the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), Section 106 and its implementing regulations, the effects of its proposed federal actions, or federal undertakings, on historic properties.

As information regarding undertakings (defined at 36 CFR 800.16) and effects on historical resources (defined at 15 CFR 922.11) within the sanctuary areas managed by GFNMS/CBNMS are available for public comment, announcements will be posted to this page.
