Marine Explorers Day Camp
Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary in collaboration with Randall Museum and the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department offer summer sessions of a Marine Explorers Day Camp for 8-12 year olds. Campers travel in vans to nearby marine environments to learn about local marine life including crabs, plankton, sharks, anemones, barnacles, seals, whales, sea stars and more! Campers enjoy hands-on experiences while exploring the sanctuary's various marine habitats such as rocky shores, sandy beaches and estuaries. The week culminates with an exciting kayak trip! Each session is one week long and runs from 9 am - 5 pm. Registration is through the San Francisco Recreation and Parks website. Please note that all camp sessions fill very quickly. Open registration is in March of each year. Camps are full for 2016 summer sessions.
